Fuel efficiency is an important consideration for many drivers from Myrtle Beach, SC and beyond. Because drivers both here and throughout the rest of the country want to get more out of their vehicles, Honda works endlessly to deliver a wide range of efficient models, both strictly gasoline-powered and hybrid. That being said, though, Honda is also exploring other options to deliver new levels of fuel economy, and there's one we're particularly interested in sharing with you today.

Honda recently debuted the FCEV Concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and it's quite a sight to behold. What does FCEV stand for? Fuel-cell electric vehicle - this is a vehicle that's not powered by gasoline at all, but rather hydrogen fuel cells, which are clean and clean.

In short, the Honda FCEV Concept is futuristic under the hood, and it's equally so on the outside as well. It looks like Honda went into the future and grabbed a car to bring back in time, as this impressive, hydrogen-powered car looks like it could be featured in a movie like Total Recall or Blade Runner.

When will the Honda FCEV Concept move into production? Honda estimates a 2015 release, but that will likely be limited to specific markets. There are currently only 10 public hydrogen fueling station, which makes the infrastructure to support this impressive vehicle somewhat scarce. That being said, we wouldn't be surprised to see more stations popping up in the near future in response to efficient vehicles like this one.

2015 may be a little ways off, but if you're interested in a reliable and efficient vehicle now, be sure to check out our lineup of new Honda models available today. We're happy to share specs, compare models and arrange a test drive for you at your convenience.
