As a result of Honda's recent partnership with Aha Radio, the automaker will now be including the technology into the forthcoming HondaLink infotainment system. While details are few and far between, the fresh connectivity system has essentially wiped the slate clean, or created something brand new.
With an initial appearance in the Honda Fit EV, HondaLink will be using a system that is not entirely based on satellite data which marks a step away from today's norm amongst infotainment system. At the same time, stepping away from satellite-collected-data opens up opportunities for mobile connectivity or even built-in modems.
Following the debut of the HondaLink infotainment system on the Honda Fit, it's expected that the new technology will appear again in the 2013 version of the Honda Accord.
