Following its recent nomination for the Car of the Year in Motor Trend magazine, Honda's 2013 Honda Accord is up for another prestigious nomination. As an exceptionally redesigned sedan, the newest Accord is now in the running for the prestigious 2013 North American Car of the Year.

At the upcoming North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan, we here at East Coast Honda are proud to announce that Honda's newest Accord will be in the running for the 2013 Car of the Year award. With the award being decided by a panel of 49 seasoned automotive journalists, there should be no question as to the level of honor obtained by not just the award winners but each of the nominees for the award as well.

With only two other vehicles selected alongside the Accord in the sedan spot, the nomination is considered all the more noteworthy. While readers might be surprised of its nomination, especially given the fact that one of the other sedans up for the award is a luxury sedan, we here at East Coast Honda aren't surprised at all. With a new Earth Dreams engine, the sedan improves on fuel economy while also welcoming in new technology and a much more sophisticated, redesigned exterior.
