Here at East Coast Honda we are committed to delivering the most relevant Honda news to you right here on our blog, even when the news isn't positive. Today we are here to tell you about the Honda Ridgeline and the extended vacation it could be taking from the current lineup of new Honda models.

You see, back in 2011, Honda announced that the Ridgeline pickup would not be getting a redesign/ overhaul in the foreseeable future. We kept our ears open and waited a long time for the announcement that this popular Honda model was going to receive it's next update, but alas, that never happened, and now it sounds like the short-bed truck could be getting the axe for the time being.

It has already been reported that the plant in Alabama that currently produces all of America's Ridgeline models will stop building them by September 2014. That is a pretty big clue, but the folks over at Ward's Auto are saying that a new version of the Ridgeline or some sort of pickup truck replacement will make its way into the Honda lineup in 2016.

We can neither confirm nor deny any of these claims but nevertheless, we will be sad to see the Ridgeline go.

Plenty of drivers in the Myrtle Beach and Georgetown areas know the advantages of having a truck like the Honda Ridgeline by your side. If you have considered purchasing a new pickup recently, we encourage you to make your way to our showroom located at 8756 A Highway 17 Bypass South Myrtle Beach, SC to test drive one today. Our friendly staff is always willing to sit down and discuss the great financing and loan opportunities that are currently available to you.
