Explore the 2018 Honda Civic Type R Prototype at the 2016 Paris Motor Show

Last time we talked here on the blog, we talked about how the 2017 Civic Hatchback has arrived here in the United States. However, today, we'd like to discuss something that might be even more thrilling than that: the reveal of the 2018 Honda Civic Type R Prototype out at the 2016 Paris Motor Show! As glorious as you can imagine, we're having a hard time taking our eyes off it.

This prototype is shining gorgeously under the showfloor lights in an all-black satin paint job with red accents all around, large fenders and air intakes, a big wing on the back, a diffuser and exhaust setup, a monstrous 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's expected to be more powerful than any other Civic model (though no actual numbers have been released yet), and a lot more.

This is the first time the Civic Type R has been released in America and, even better, we're getting it before the Europeans do so you can be sure to have the first thrills. Watch out for it sometime next year, keep an eye on our blog, and check out our current selection of new Honda models in the meantime. We hope to see you soon!
